Take Me Out to the Ballgame

This past summer, Tarpon Point residents, attended their annual Tampa Bay Rays baseball game. Armed with peanuts and cracker jacks our residents invaded Tropicana Stadium to watch The Rays play the Boston Red Sox. For some it had been years since they were able to attend a game, for others, their first. Entering the stadium you could see the excitement in the eyes of the residents. The smell of hot dogs and popcorn was in the air. While watching the game one of the residents told me of the story of how his father would take him to the ballfield when he was a child to watch his favorite team and the fun they would have. This outing would not only bring enjoyment to them now, but also bring up beautiful memories of their past. Thank you to our medical director Dr. Petty for the donation of tickets.
